JK records 73 new cases, two deaths

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday recorded 73 new positive Covid cases. Besides, two deaths were also reported due to the coronavirus.

Of the two deaths reported due to Covid-19, one was from Jammu region and another from Kashmir.

According to Medical Bulletin of J&K government, 65 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 16 from Jammu Division and 49 from Kashmir Division.

Out of 125341 positive cases, 622 are active positive, 122768 have recovered and 1951 have died; 725 in Jammu division and 1226 in Kashmir division.

Among the total 125341 positive cases in J&K, 11927 have been reported as travelers while 113414 as others.

The Bulletin further said that out of 4846627 test results available, 4721286 samples have been tested as negative till February 14.

Till date 1218505 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 33973 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 622 in isolation and 105985 in home surveillance.

Besides, 1075974 persons have completed their surveillance period.

The bulletin further stated that there are 1091 COVID dedicated beds, 962 Isolation beds with 960 vacant beds and 129 ICU beds where 121 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 1570 COVID dedicated beds, 1484 Isolation beds where 1435 beds are vacant and 86 ICU beds where 74are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 2661 COVID dedicated beds, 2446 Isolation beds with 2395 beds vacant and 215 ICU beds with 195 vacant beds in Jammu and Kashmir.
