3 drug peddlers arrested in Budgam, contraband substance recovered: Police

Budgam: The Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday said that three drug peddlers were arrested in central Kashmir’s Budgam district and recovered contraband substance from their possession.

In a statement shared issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that during a surprise naka checking at Sebdan bridge, police party of police station Budgam intercepted three persons roaming suspiciously.

“During their personal search 10 Grams of Heroin, 02 litres of Codine Phosphate and 74 Tablets of Alprazolam were recovered from their possession”

They have been identified as Muzamil Ahmed Khan son of Mohammed Ayoub Khan, Mukhtar Ahmed Wani Son of Ghulam Mohammad Wani—both residents of Bathar Budgam and Rafi Ahmed Dar Son of Ghulam Ahmed Dar, a resident of Naidgam area of Soibugh.

“A case FIR No.28/2021 has been registered at Police station Budgam and investigation has been taken up,” the statement reads
