COVID-19: JK reports 57 new cases, no death

Jammu: The Government on Sunday informed that 57 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 14 from Jammu division and 43 from Kashmir division, were reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 124506. No COVID death was reported across the Union Territory today.

Moreover, 70 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 36 from Jammu Division and 34 from Kashmir Division.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 124506 positive cases, 721 are Active Positive, 121822 have recovered and 1936 have died; 721 in Jammu division and 1215 in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 4544387 test results available, 4419881 samples have been tested as negative till 31stJanuary, 2021.

Till date 1123009 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 34203 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 748 in isolation and 97734 in home surveillance. Besides, 988388 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 26212 positive cases (including 27 cases reported today) with 237 Active Positive, 25519 recovered (including 15 cases recovered today), 456 deaths; Baramulla has 8118 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 44Active Positive, 7900 recovered (including 04 cases recovered today), 174 deaths; Budgam reported 7768 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today)with 37 active positive cases, 7614 recovered (including 05cases recovered today), 117 deaths; Pulwama has 5720 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)with 49 Active Positive, 5583 recovered (including 02 cases recovered today)and 88 deaths; Kupwara has 5659 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today) with 31 Active Positive, 5533 recoveries (including 03 cases recovered today), 95 deaths;  Anantnag district has 4903 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today)with 56 Active Positive, 4762 recovered (including 04 cases recovered today), 85 deaths;  Bandipora has 4692 positive caseswith24 Active Positive and 4607 recoveries (including 01 cases recovered today), 61 deaths; Ganderbal has 4616 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today)with 52 Active Positive, 4518 recoveries46deaths; Kulgam has 2695 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)with 25 Active Positive, 2616 recoveries and 54 deaths while as Shopian has 2570 positive caseswith25 active positive cases, 2506 recoveries and 39 deaths.

Similarly, Jammu has 24964 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today) with 83 active positive cases, 24510 recoveries (including 27 cases recovered today), 371 deaths; Udhampur has 4203 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today)24active positive cases, 4122 recovered (including 05 cases recovered today)and 57 deaths; Rajouri has 3868 positive cases with 04 active positive, 3809 recoveries (including 01 cases recovered today)and 55 deaths; Doda has 3432 positive cases with (including 03 cases reported today)04 Active positive, 3364 recovered and 64 deaths; Kathua has 3254 positive caseswith 03 active positive cases, 3199 recovered and 52 deaths; Kishtwar has 2732 positive cases (including 01 case reported today)with 01 Active Positive, 2709 recoveries (including 01 case recovered today);22 deaths; Samba has 2830 positive cases with 14 active positive cases, 2776 recoveries and 40 deaths; Poonch has 2500positive cases with 32 active positive, 2444recoveries (including 01 cases recovered today)and 24 deaths; Ramban has 2132 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)with02 active positive, 2109 recoveries (including 01 case recovered today)and 21 deaths while Reasi has 1638 positive with 01 active positive cases, 1622 recoveries and 15 deaths.

According to the bulletin, among the total 124506 positive cases in J&K, 11693 have been reported as travelers while 112813 as others.

The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.
