Farhan Majeed youngest qualified pilot from Valley

Awantipora, Jan 14: A youth from South Kashmir’s Pulwama district has become valley’s youngest pilot by getting a commercial pilot licence recently.
Farhan Majeed,20, a resident of Awantipora Pulwama after passing his 12th class from Mantaqui Higher Secondary School Awantipora joined flying academy Global Konnect Aviation Services Pvt Ltd in Uttarakhand to give wings to his dreams.
Farhan said he was fascinated by aeroplanes since his childhood and it was his dream to become a pilot.
“I was clueless about this profession and would spend hours on the internet to know how to pursue this carrier,” he said. “I was always telling my parents that I want to become a pilot.”
“After passing my 12th exam, with the full support of my family I joined an academy in Uttarakhand to learn how to fly an aeroplane,” he said.
“I feel very proud to be the valley’s youngest Indian commercial licence holder,” he said.
His father Abdul Majeed Bagow who is a Mathematics lecturer and his mother Fahmeeda Banoo who is also a teacher said that most people don’t want their son to go in this field but they always backed their son to pursue his dream.
“We never backed down and by becoming the youngest pilot of our valley, he has made all of us proud,” they said. (KNO)
