CRPF officer guarding politician’s house dies after coming under snow

Srinagar: A Para-military trooper died after coming under snow at the residence of a politician here in Kashmir capital Srinagar.

Police sources said that a CRPF man was walking on the pathway when he came under snow that fell down from the roof top of a shed. The trooper sustained injuries and was shifted to SKIMS where he succumbed to his injuries.

The trooper who was affiliated with 115 Battalion CRPF was on Guard Duty at the residence of National Conference former Legislator Syed Muhammad Akhoon at Habak Zakoora area of Srinagar outskirts.

CRPF Spokesperson Pankajh Singh while confirming the death of CRPF Sub Inspector identified him as S.C. Marmu, a resident of Bakuru West Bengal. (KNT)
