United Tourism Forum sets up helpline for stranded tourists

Srinagar, Jan 5: United Tourism Forum has requested the stranded tourists to contact the helpline numbers for any assistance they need in wake of the heavy snowfall in Kashmir.
“The travellers are our guests and we are ready to assist and help them to make them feel at home. We have already talked to hoteliers who have always been supportive of such initiatives,” a spokesman of the Forum, Athar Yameen said in a statement.
Travel Agents Society of Kashmir (TASK), Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Alliance. Pilgrim and Leisure Tour Operators Forum, Tourist Trade Interest Guild, Association of Kashmir Tour Operators, JK Chapters of national bodies including Travel Agents Association of India, Indian Association of Tour Operators, Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India and Domestic Tour Operators of Kashmir came forward for the timely help of the tourists.
Yameen said local travel and hospitality sector have always come out for the sport to the tourists in any situation. “We are also concerned about the cancelation of the flights as many tourists who wanted to visit had to cancel their trips. We are hopeful of the weather improvement so that tourists can leave home with beautiful memories. Many tourists are also started at Delhi who wanted to visit Kashmir,” he said.
