Budgam, Jan 1: Scores of villages in Narbal-Budgam are facing acute shortage of water due to damaged water pipe line.
Locals said a couple of days back, water pipe line was damaged and since then authorities have not repaired it.
The affected villages include Cherhar, Panchas, Rus, Watalpora and others.
“We brought the issue into the notice of Deputy Commissioner Budgam. Despite assurance, the concerned department has not repaired the damaged water pipe yet. We are suffering badly due to water shortage,” District Development Council member from Narbal Reyaz Ahmed said.
The locals urged the district administration to look into the issue on priority basis. (KNT)
