Srinagar, Dec 25: Jammu and Kashmir on Friday recorded one death due to COVID-19 taking the death toll to 1,861 in the Union Territory while 291 positive cases were reported taking the tally of positive cases to 119,628 in J&K.
Of the exact number of 119,628 cases, 70,337 are from Kashmir and 49,291 from Jammu division. said that among 284 new cases, 140 belong to Kashmir division while as 144 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 70,337 including 67,451 recoveries and 1,175 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 49,291 including 46,902 recoveries and 686 deaths.
They said that total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 3,414 including 1,711 from Kashmir division and 1,703 from Jammu division.
With 409 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 114,353 which is 95.59 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 65 from Srinagar, 09 from Baramulla, 32 from Budgam, 09 from Kupwara, 18 from Pulwama, 02 from Anantnag, 01 from Bandipora, 03 from Ganderbal, 01 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 144 from Jammu division include 96 from Jammu, 08 from Udhampur, 07 from Rajouri, 11 from Doda, 12 from Kathua, 00 from Kishtwar, 05 from Samba, 01 from Poonch, 02 from Ramban and 02 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Notably, in the last 24 hours one person belonging to Baramulla district who was tested positive for COVID-19 has died.
As per officials figures, 24,996 positive cases including 444 deaths and 23,957 recoveries are from Srinagar, 7,896 including 171 deaths and 7,573 recoveries are from Baramulla, 7,525 including 7,226 recoveries and 107 deaths are from Budgam, 5,485 including 5,253 recoveries and 90 deaths are from Kupwara, 5,489 including 88 deaths and 5,214 recoveries are from Pulwama, 4,754 including 4,567 recoveries and 83 deaths are from Anantnag, 4,624 cases including 4,488 and 59 deaths are from Bandipora, 4,444 including 4,297 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,651 including 2,529 recoveries and 53 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,473 including 2,347 recoveries and 37 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 23,339 including 22,141 recoveries and 350 deaths are from Jammu district, 4,062 including 3,909 recoveries and 57 deaths are from Udhampur, 3,812 including 3,543 recoveries and 54 deaths are from Rajouri, 3,367 including 3,222 recoveries and 61 deaths are from Doda, 3,144 including 3,025 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Kathua, 2,714 including 2,658 recoveries and 21 deaths are from Kishtwar, 2,713 including 2,429 recoveries and 38 deaths are from Samba, 2,438 including 2,390 recoveries and 22 deaths are from Poonch, 2,085 including 2,026 recoveries and 21 deaths are from Ramban and 1,617 including 1,559 recoveries and 14 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin, 861,964 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 17,687 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 3,414 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 811,144 persons have completed surveillance period and 27,858 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 3,667,726 samples are available.
Out of 3,667,726 the number of samples tested negative stands at 3,548,098 while as 119,628 have tested positive, among them 3,414 persons are active, 114,353 persons have recovered and 1,861 persons have died.
