3 CRPF men injured in Ganderbal grenade attack

Srinagar, Dec 23: At least three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were injured in a grenade attack in the central Kashmir district of Ganderbal this evening, official sources said.
They said militants hurled a hand grenade towards a CRPF bunker at Towheed Chowk Dadarhama in Ganderbal around 1700 hrs. Three CRPF personnel were injured in the grenade blast, sound of which was heard in the town. The injured have been rushed to District hospital, they said.
A senior police officer told reporters at the site that militants hurled grenade in the busy chowk. We have sealed the entire area and launched massive operation to nab the militants responsible for the attack. He said CCTV camera footage will be used to identify the militants.

 

Meanwhile, shops and other business establishments were immediately closed and traffic was disrupted. All incoming and outgoing vehicles are being properly searched and pedestrian frisked.
