Srinagar, Dec 13: The People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) has failed to come up with the report of the past one year as promised by the leaders during its formation in October this year.

Pertinently, on October 24 this year, PAGD during its formation constituted a group consisting of Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami, Sajad Gani Lone, Muzaffar Ahmad Shah and Davinder Singh Rana to prepare a report after talking to different sections of the society including traders, employees, tourism players, hoteliers and others.

“After holding deliberations with them, a report card will be prepared in which all the lies and facts on the ground will be brought to the fore. The report card will be prepared in one month,” the group had said.

However, over a month and half has elapsed, but the group has failed to bring the white paper out. Notably, it was the first utterance of the PAGD, which it failed to pursue on the ground.

A leader, who is part of the four-member group, told Precious Kashmir that the process to compile the report has not been started yet. “Soon after it was decided to compile a report, the PAGD leaders got busy in finalizing the candidates for the ongoing District Development Council (DDC) polls in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.

He added that the group has not even talked to any section of the society due to the busy schedule amid the elections. “As far as my knowledge is concerned, the process to compile the report has not been started yet,” he said, adding that the process to compile a report as promised would probably be started once the results of DDC elections are declared on December 22.

“We tried to meet people in Jammu over the issue but got less time to start the process in this regard as the alliance decided to take part in polls. It needs time to compile such reports. We are hopeful that the report will be completed and brought into the public domain as soon as possible,” he added.
