Jammu, Nov 9: Jammu and Kashmir unit of BJP on Monday announced the list enlisting names of the candidates for the first phase of upcoming District Development Council Elections here at party headquarters.
J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina made the announcement for the names of party leaders who are entrusted with the party’s mandate after marathon meetings held with all the senior party leaders.
In the first list of candidates, BJP announced 35 candidates for DDC elections in Jammu region, whereas 37 DDC candidates for Kashmir have been announced.
Total names for 72 seats were declared on Monday.
Union MoS Dr Jitendra Singh, National Secretary Dr Narinder Singh, former BJP president and Dy CM Dr Nirmal Singh among others were present in the meeting.
