No COVID-19 death reported in seven States, UTs

New Delhi, Nov 1: The Union Health Ministry on Sunday informed that there was no Covid death reported in seven states and three Union Territories in last 24 hours.
Recently, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and the UTs Andaman& Nicobar Island, Dadar Nagar Haveli and Daman Diu have witnessed a surge in Coronavirus infected cases but the last 24 hours has brought little relief to these states.
As per the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Sunday, the recovery rate has now reached to 91.54 percent while the casualty rate has substantially gone down to 1.49 percent. The Ministry has also said that the percentage of active cases in the country is now is down to 6.97 percent.
According to the data, 46,963 new cases have been reported in last 24 hours and this is the seventh day in a row when the Covid 19 infected cases are below 50 thousand mark.
“In the last 24 hours, a total of 58,684 infected persons have been recovered while 470 persons succumbed to this infection”, the Health Ministry said.
So far, out of 81.84 lakh infected people, a total of 74.91 lakh have been recovered from this deadly disease while the number of total deaths reported is 1,21,111 till date.
Higher number of recoveries has aided the national Recovery Rate to further improve to 91.54 percent while 76 percent of the new recovered cases are concentrated in 10 States and UTs.
Karnataka, Kerala and Maharashtra have contributed the maximum to the new recovered cases with more than 7,000 single day recoveries. Delhi and West Bengal, both have added more than 4,000 to the new recoveries.
India’s deaths per million populations are one of the lowest in the world and stand at 88.
