Agri land to be protected: LG Sinha

Srinagar, Oct 27: Soon after Ministry of Home Affairs notified new land laws for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday said that the Agricultural land in the Union Territory will be protected.
Sinha while talking to the media persons during a news conference at Raj Bhavan Auditorium here defended the MHA decision, saying that such a move would help in developing new industries here, which would help in tackling the unemployment.
While replying to a query, Sinha said the people from outside Jammu and Kashmir can purchase land within the municipal limits in the Union Territory.
However, he stated that the agricultural land will be protected.
“We want the people to set up industries in Jammu and Kashmir as it would help in unemployed youth to get jobs,” he said.
