2 Agriculture officials suspended for running private business

Srinagar, Oct 9: The government has suspended two officials for their alleged involvement in running private business despite being the government servants in violation to service conduct rules.

The suspended employees are officials working in Department of Agriculture.

An order vide number 254 dated 29/9/2020 in this regard has been issued by Director Agriculture Kashmir Syed Altaf Aijaz Andrabi.

The order reads: “Pending Inquiry for their involvement in running private business being the Government servants which is in violation to service conduct rules of 1971, Ghulam Mohammad Masoodi, Subject Matter Specialist (SDL) Khansahib and Syed Ishtaq Hussain Bukhari, Agriculture Extension Assistant Zone Lalpora Sub Division Tangmarg are hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect and shall remain attached with concerned Chief Agriculture Officers.”

Chowdhray Mohammad Iqbal, Joint Director Agriculture (Extension) Kashmir was appointed as Inquiry Officer to conduct an in-depth inquiry and directed to submit report to for further course of action. (KNT)
