Baramulla, Sept 13: Body of a youth was recovered under mysterious circumstances in apple township of Sopore in this north Kashmir district, official sources said on Sunday.
They said panic gripped when body of a youth was found in a field at Sopore in Baramulla.
Police was immediately informed and the body was taken away for identification. The deceased was later identified as 29-year-old Nameez Ahmad Yatoo, a resident of Nowpora Sopore.
Though the exact cause of his death was being ascertained, it is alleged that he might have died due to drug overdose.
Yatoo was recently discharged from drug De-addiction and rehabilitation centre.
Police has registered a case and initiated proceedings, they said.
