Facility to be available in Sgr, Jammu, Reasi first, other district to follow after some time, Says Ayushman Bharat mission to cover every resident of UT with insurance cover from Bajaj Alliance
Srinagar, Sep 11: Jammu and Kashmirās Lieutenant Governor Manoj Singh Friday unveiled maiden J&K Integrated Grievance Redressal System for the timely redressal of peopleās issues stating that there will be round the clock monitoring of the complaints and grievances lodged by the people.
According to news agencyāKashmir News Observer (KNO), the J&K LG Sinha while addressing a press conference at Rajbhawan here said that the decision to roll out first ever J&K Integrated Grievance Redressal and Monitoring System was taken in the āStateā Administrative Council (SAC) meeting today.
āAfter meeting various delegations and journalists recently, we came to know that officers from the administration and other departments related to governance arenāt available for the people. So we have rolled out J&K IGRMS,ā he said.
As per KNO, the J&K LG said that to begin with pilot project has been launched in Sgr-Jammu and Reasi districts of J&K UT and in the weeks ahead, the facility will be available in other districts as well.
āThere will be minute by minute status update of the grievances on the portal. And if any laxity will be found, we can talk to the concerned elders of the district and the concerned officers. Action will follow if any delay or callouses is found while addressing the peopleās grievances,ā the LG said.
He said that another decision taken in the SAC was that district Superintendents of Police and Deputy Commissioners will remain present for people in their offices from 10:30 am to 11:30 am five days a week from Monday. āSimilar directions are for the Divisional Commissioners and IGPās of Jammu and Kashmir regions,ā he said as per KNO
The LG also announced the launch of Ayushman Bharat health insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh for every single resident of the J&K UT. He said that the cover will be for the people suffering from fatal diseases and others as well. āThe portal of J&K Grievances will be linked with the GoIās grievance portal,ā he said.
