Lockdown to be re-imposed in G’bl for 8 days

Ganderbal, Aug 28: The district administration Ganderbal on Friday decided to re-impose the lockdown for eight days in the district to prevent the deadly COVID-19 from spreading.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal in an order, said that there will be complete lockdown in Ganderbal for next eight days from tomorrow.
Iqbal said that all the shops, commercial establishments and public and private traffic will remain shut in the district except medical, milk and vegetable shops.
“All the government offices and banks will remain functional,” he said, appealing people to cooperate with the administration to help in containing the spread of deadly Coronavirus.
“Markets, business establishments of the district shall remain closed for the next eight days from 29 August 2020 to 05 September 2020 except medical, Milk, Veg shops. Public & Pvt transport shall also remain suspended except med emergencies. All govt offices and banks will remain functional,” the order reads.
Iqbal said that these eight days of lockdown will be imposed completely and strictly from 29th August to 5th September and anybody caught violating orders and directions shall be punished as per relevant laws. (KNO)
