Bear attacks duo in Srinagar outskirts

Srinagar, Aug 23: A wild bear after entering civilian areas of Srinagar outskirts attacked two persons who have been shifted to hospital in critical condition.
Police sources said that a bear entered in Khimber Hazratbal area and attacked two persons.
Both the injured were evacuated to hospital with grievous injuries. They have been identified as 47 year old Ghulam Mohiuddin Sheikh son of Abdul Rehman 30 year old Manzoor Ahmed Dar son of Late Ghulam Qadir Dar, both residents of Munzpora Khimber Hazratbal.
Locals informed Wild Life Department that dispatched a team while efforts are on to nab the wild bear that is still roaming freely in civilian areas. (KNT)
