Gulmarg: Body of soldier buried under snow avalanche recovered after 8 months

Srinagar, Aug 15: Body of a soldier who was buried under snow avalanche in Gulmarg sector in north Kashmir district of Baramulla was recovered after eight months, official sources said on Friday.
They said a soldier Rajinder Singh went missing after he came under snow avalanche near the Line of Control (LoC) in Gulmarg sector on January 8 this year. However, despite massive searches the soldier could not be found due to very heavy snowfall.
The body has been recovered after melting of snow today, they said adding the body has been brought to police station Gulmarg.
