Srinagar, Aug 9: A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker was injured by unidentified gunmen in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Sunday morning.
Official sources told UNI that gunmen fired at BJP worker, identified as Abdul Hamid Najar when he was out on a morning walk in Mohiendpora in Budgam. “The injured was immediately taken to SHMS hospital, where his health condition is stated to be stable,” they said.
They said Najar has received a bullet injury to his abdomen. “The gunmen managed to escape from the spot,” they said, adding security forces have been rushed to the area and a search operation has been launched to nab the attackers.
