Anantnag school students visit JAKLI Centre

Srinagar, Aug 5: Army on Wednesday said that school students from Anantnag  district were taken to Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regimental Centre on a visit.
“The visit was an outcome of overwhelming requests of local schools to conduct such educational cum motivational tour to improve awareness about Indian Army and history of the nation. As part of the continued initiative of Chinar Corps, Chinar Air Defence Brigade attempted to fulfil the aspirations of locals in South Kashmir,” an Army spokesman said in a statement.

He said, “Twenty students of various schools of Anantnag district witnessed the rigorous training that every soldier undergoes and the latest training facilities available in the establishment. Students were also shown a movie showcasing the rich historical traditions of Jammu & Kashmir Light Infantry which epitomizes valour and honour.”

“Naseer Ahmad, Principal, Army Proud Scholars School, Khundru along with staff of all schools and students appreciated the efforts of Army in guiding the youth of the Kashmir towards a brighter future. The students expressed that such experiences help in kindling the ambition and motivating them to excel in life,” the spokesman added
