COVID claims 4 more lives in Kashmir, toll 136 in J&K

Srinagar, July 6 : Jammu and Kashmir on Monday recorded four more deaths due to COVID-19, thus taking the overall death toll due to the virus to 136 in the Union Territory.

The four deaths include a 55-year-old man from Boniyar Baramulla, a 56-year-old man from Kralpora Budgam, a 90-year-old man from Baramulla and a 54-year-old man from Aloosa Bandipora.

Dr Farooq Jan, Medical Superintendent at SKIMS told that a 55-year-old man from Boniyar Baramulla, who was tested positive for COVID-19, died on Monday morning.

The patient was suffering from Cardaic problems and other ailments, he said.

He said that a 56-year-old man from Budgam who was very sick and was tested positive for COVID-19, also died at SKIMS on Monday morning at 4 am.

The patient was suffering from Bilateral Community cquired Pneumonia, HTN, CKD and was on dialysis as well, he said.

Dr Saleem Tak, Medical Superintendent at CD Hospital told that a 90-year-old man from Baramulla who was admitted on 26th June died during night at around 2 am.

The patient was suffering from Hypertension, bilateral pneumonia and cardiac ailments, he said.

Dr Nazir Choudhary, Medical Superintendent at SMHS told that a patient from Aloosa who was admitted on June 04, died on June 05. He said the patient was tested positive on the same day.

He said that patient was suffering from hypertension, bilateral pneumonia and other ailments.

With four more deaths, the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 136, including 122 from Kashmir division and 14 from Jammu Division
