Modi Govt 2.0’s first yr will be known for big, tough decisions: Nadda

New Delhi, May 30: BJP president J P Nadda said on Saturday that if the first term of the Modi government was dedicated to setting the much-awaited reforms and infrastructure for ‘New India’, the first year of Modi government 2.0 will be known for taking big and tough decisions and turning challenges into opportunities.

Congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi on behalf of crores of workers of the Party to mark the completion of the historic and successful first year of the second term of the BJP government at the Centre, he said, “While the first term of the Modi government was dedicated to setting the much-awaited reforms and infrastructure for ‘New India’, its first year of the second term would be known for taking big and tough decisions and turning challenges into opportunities.’

In his message to crores of BJP workers through video conferencing to mark the completion of the successful and historic first year of Modi Sarkar 2.0, he said, ‘Turning challenges into opportunities is a reflection of the leadership potential of a leadership. The people of the country have seen this in the last six years and realized how effectively Prime Minister Narendra Modi has led the country.’

The restraint and resolve with which Prime Minister Modi has called for the participation of the people against the Corona virus is unprecedented in itself, he maintained.

Modi has shown to the world that India is able to fight and deal with such problems firmly, he said.

Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, public participation, public trust, public concern and awareness have emerged as four strong pillars of awakened consciousness, he pointed out.

The strength of the country is the labouring brethren who have given their priceless support in building this huge nation with their blood and sweat, he said.

‘Today, in this hour of calamity, our entire government under the leadership of the Prime Minister has tried to take every migrant laborer to their destination,’ he said.

The Prime Minister has revived the country’s self-confidence by raising the slogan of Swadeshi and self-reliance to run the economy of India derailed in Corona crisis, Nadda said, adding that at the same time, emphasis has been on the need to promote local industries by giving a slogan for ‘vocal for local’.
