2 live shells found, diffused in Budgam

Budgam, May 28: Budgam police on Thursday evening diffused two live shells in Khag area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district, officials said.

Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that during the cleaning of a Nallah at Drang Khag area of Budgam, locals spotted two unexploded shells.

They said that after spotting the shells, they informed the police about the matter.

A police officer said that after receiving the information, a police party from Police Station Khag rushed to the spot and called Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), which later diffused both the shells.

A case in this regard has been registered at Police Station Khag while the investigation has been started.
