New Delhi, May 7: AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria on Thursday said that the Corona virus spread will be at its peak during the month of June and July.
After cases climbed above 50,000 mark in the country, Dr Guleria said that based on the way cases are increasing in the country and according to the data the COVID 19 spread is likely to be at its peak during June – July.
So far, there have been a total of 52952 Covid cases reported across the nation and 1783 people have lost their lives due to the lethal virus till date pan India.
The AIIMS director further said that precaution is best remedy against the Virus for now.
He said that following lockdown guidelines, taking precautions and practising social distancing are the ways to protect one from the virus.
With the increase in number of cases, there has been an enhancement in the testing capacity with respect to COVID 19, he told media persons.
He said that lockdown has contributed in containing the spread of COVID and during the lockdown period the numbers did not increase that much.
“We will have to learn to live with the virus as this is not going to end so soon and the cases will decrease gradually in the coming times,” he said.
