Srinagar, Apr 10: In order to curb rumours about COVID-19, Beerwah Police on Friday arrested a person for allegedly spreading mis-information on social media.
A police official told KNS that the accused on Thursday uploaded a fake news regarding positive COVID-19 case in Sonpah Beerwah.
He said police took strong note of this and arrested the said person. He also said a case under FIR No 82/20 u/s 505b, 188 IPC was registered at police station Beerwah and further investigation was set into motion.
