Srinagar, Mar 25: Amid reports about people escaping from quarantine centres and hiding their travel history, the health experts in Kashmir on Wednesday said that concealing the travel history would prove catastrophe in Jammu and Kashmir, appealing people not to endanger the lives of others.
Talking to wire service Head of Department Chest Disease hospital, Dr. Naveed Nazir said that those concealing travel history are endangering the lives of whole society.
He said that anyone who has a travel history should come voluntarily to ensure his life and others are saved well on time, adding that in case people continue to conceal the travel history, it can prove catastrophe here in Jammu and Kashmir.
The administration as well as the health experts have been appealing people to reveal their travel history. So far, eight positive cases have been detected in the Valley while one who had arrived from Saudi Arabia has recovered.
It was earlier reported that one suspected case who was kept in isolation at CD hospital had escaped from the hospital, creating panic among the people as well as the administration.
Meanwhile, the reports said that the suspected case who has travel history of Hungary has reported at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS).
The health expert further stated that in case she has reported to SKIMS and is god forbid positive case, she has also risked the lives of others who had come into her contact from CD hospital to SKIMS – (KNO)
