SAMBA, MARCH 21: Deputy Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria today held a meeting with market associations, clergy, members of civil society and district officers to sought cooperation for strengthening the efforts against spread of coronavirus in district.
During the meeting Senior Superintended of Police Shakti Pathak, Additional Deputy Commissioner Vikas Gupta, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Kulbhushan Khajuria, SDM Vijaypur CP Kotwal, SDM Ghgwal Ram Kesh Sharma besides representative of Purmandal and Utterbheni clergy, market and civil society members and other prominent persons of the district were present.
The DC informed that district administration has taken all necessary measures for effective control of coronavirus spread like sanitisation of every visitor and employees at the entry gates, social distancing, thermal screening, door to door campaigning and reporting of suspected person immediately to the medical health care authorities.
He further informed that order has been issued for closure of all the market/business establishments except the essentials services in the district. DC said that all the market business establishments other than essential one including medical stores, LPG services, Petrol pumps, groceries, fruits vegetable vendors and alike shall be closed under Section 144 of CrPC.
Pertinent to mention district administration samba has also issued a general public appeal to all the devotees and religious heads to avoid any kind of religious congregations in Purmandal and Utterbeni pilgrimage sites.
The DC said that in view of the prevailing situation in the district stringent measures shall be taken to avoid all kind of religious congregations at pilgrimage sites in the district. “the Navratri season and Shab-I-miraj are upcoming festivals and to avoid gathering of public, all kind of traffic has been suspended on the Purmandal Utterbeni routes” the DC added.
District administration has appealed the public to remain at home in view of the advisory issue by the Government and refrain from spreading any fake and malicious information.
