Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Government on Friday ordered teachers not to attend schools and stay at home in view of rising threat of Coronavirus pandemic.
The Government has already ordered closure of schools with no class work and teachers were asked to attend schools but in a fresh order issued this morning, school authorities have directed that teachers will not attend the schools.
An order has been issued by Principal Secretary to Government School Education Department Dr Asgar Samoon.
“No School Teacher to attend duties at schools as class work suspended,” read an order.
It further read that all school teachers to stay at home till further orders.
Only Headmasters, ZEOs, Principles, HoDs, Concerned Engineers involved in works, Centrally Sponsored Schemes implementation or educational administrative matter are exempted but asked to maintain social distances, it read.
The administration on Thursday ordered closure of all religious places, markets to implement social distancing barring grocery, chemist, vegetables and fruits shops.
