New Delhi: The four convicts in the 2012 Nirbhaya gang-rape and murder case were hanged to death at 0530 hrs on Friday morning, seven years and three months after the incident.
At 0230 hrs, the Supreme Court rejected the last-ditch attempt by their lawyer A P Singh to delay the execution.
The counsel has approached the High court on Thursday but in vain.
Akshay Thakur(31), Pawan Gupta(25), Vinay Sharma (26) and Mukesh Singh (32) were hanged to death at the Tihar jail here.
