Mumbai: The Rupee on Wednesday jumped by 46 paise to end strong at 73.63 on selling of US Dollars by bankers and exporters, dealers at Forex Market said.
The local unit that rose by 29 paise to 73.80 in opening trade, surged by 46 paise to end positive at 73.63, as compared to the last close.
The domestic unit registered day’s high and low at 74.01 and 73.55, respectively.
The Rupee shot up on weak dollar against other world currencies, amid rebounding equity market, the dealer added.
