Jammu: The weatherman on Tuesday predicted that western disturbance may hit Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh Union Territories from March 11.
Director MeT, J&K Sonam Lotus here said, “an active western disturbance is most likely to affect J&K and Ladakh during March 11 to 13 with main activity on March 12 and 13”.
He said that during this period, especially on 12-13th, there is high probability of widespread moderate to Heavy rain /snow on higher reaches of J&K and at a few places of Ladakh.
“Also, there’s possibility of Thunderstorm accompanied by strong gusty winds, Hailstorm etc. during above period,” said Mr Lotus and added, “accordingly, all concerned like administration, travellers and farmers are requested to take note of the impending adverse weather.”
