Jammu: Advisor to Jammu and Kashmir Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar on Friday visited the border areas of Jammu Frontier of BSF and reviewed the security scenario.
He was accompanied by DGP J&K Police Dilbag Singh, IGP Jammu Mukesh Singh, IG BSF Jammu Frontier N S Jamwal, DIG BSF SPS Sandhu and other BSF officers.
The IG BSF Jammu Frontier briefed the Advisor about border domination, assessment on the threat perception and the various measures undertaken
by BSF to strengthen the Border protection grid.
He highlighted the importance of synergy between all the security agencies working in the Jammu region and with the civil administration as well.
Mr Bhatnagar visited various BSF BOPs on Internation Border of Jammu.
He was highly impressed by the great job being done by BSF in all respect.
The Advisor had interaction with BSF Officers and Commanders deployed in field and appreciated the enthusiasm and spirit displayed by border men
while maintaining the sanctity of the International Border and in instilling a sense of security among the border populace.
He added that the government recognises BSF ‘s unparalleled contribution towards national security and is always eager to address it’s concern.
