Srinagar: An 8 year old boy slipped to death in Dal Lake when he leaving for his school on Tuesday morning.
Locals told Kashmir News Trust that Faizan Hussain Khand son of Arshid Hussain Khand, resident of Khand Mohalla Dal Lake after wearing his school uniform was waiting for a shikara when he slipped from the verandah of his dilapidated house along with his heavy school bag.
Locals tried to save him but it was too late. The dead body of the boy was fished out from the lake after half an hour.
Police visited the spot and registered a case in this regard.
