Kupwara, May 31: Security forces on Sunday arrested a man from Armohi area of Karnah in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district and recovered a pistol and brown sugar from his house.
Officials told KNO that a case against the accused was registered in Budgam police sometimes back.
They said an investigation into the case was underway, adding that on May 29, a special team reached Karnah to investigate the case further.
A top police official said that the special team of Budgam police recovered a pistol, 14 rounds and one packet brown sugar from the house of the arrested man which falls under the jurisdiction of Police Station Tadd.
He said more recoveries and arrests are expected in this regard.
