ECT department destroys Illicit cultivation of Poppy crops

SRINAGAR, MAY 13: As a part of drive against Illicit cultivation of Poppy crops, the enforcement wing of Excise and commercial Tax (ECT)department destroyed illicit poppy crop spread over 49 kanals of land in village Tulkhan of Tehsil Bijbehara, District Anantnag, and Villages, Monpora and Wuyan of Tehsil Pampore, District Pulwama in total. Illicit Poppy crop on 89 kanals of land has been destroyed in South Kashmir so for The eradication drive shall continue till all illicit poppy crop in Kashmir valley is destroyed, the statement issued by the department said.
