New Delhi, May 11: The Centre on Monday reiterated that there was no proposal of salary cut for Central Government employees.
Terming media reports ”fake”, the Government asked the employees to ignore it.
Taking to twitter, the Minister of States for Department of Personnel and Training Dr Jitendra Singh said “Please ignore the FAKE NEWS being circulated in a section of media. There is no proposal by the Government to carry out deduction in the salaries of its employees”.
The Ministry of Finance has also clarified that there was no such proposal.
It is noteworthy that due to slowdown in the economy owing to the lockdown, the Dearness Allowance(DA) of central employees has also been stopped till June 2021. The Government had also not given the first installment of DA in January.
