Jammu, May 5: The joint teams of Army and J&K Police on Tuesday arrested an HM militant in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Acting on specific information in morning hours that Hizb militant Tanveer Ahmed (27), resident of Tantana village in Gundana of Doda district was arrested in a joint operation launched by SOG Doda, RR, 33 Bn CRPF from village Sheikhpura in Gundana Tehsil of district Doda, a police spokesperson said here.
He added that one pistol, along with 10 rounds, was recovered from his possession.
”Initial interrogation revealed that he was earlier associated with Haroon (Hizb militant killed in January this year) and at present with Tahir of Pulwama and Masood of Doda (both active militants of Hizb in Doda),” he added.
