Kashmir: 6 more COVID-19 positive patients recovering, fresh test reports come negative

Srinagar, Apr 4:  After undergoing treatment, six more positive patients tested negative at Chest Disease Hospital here on Saturday.

Head of Department Chest Disease hospital, Srinagar, Dr Naveed Nazir Shah told Kashmir News Observer that 19 positive patients are admitted at CD hospital and among them, seven have tested negative so far.

Besides, the one whose repeated test reports came negative, the 1st test of six more patients have come negative, he added.

“More good news….. 5 of positive patients test negative … another sample to be taken..as quarantine period will be over ..will be discharged,” Dr Naveed tweeted.

Later, he tweeted “One more negative… so the total score of conversion moves to 7….break the chain .. please follow administrative and health advisories”.

He said the tests of these patient will be repeated in next 24 hours and if it comes negative again, then we can say patients have recovered completely.

“With 7 COVID-19 positive cases successfully recovering we see a hope ahead. Pl cooperate in contact tracing, surveillance and quarantine” tweeted DM Srinagar Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary.

He added that whether to discharge these patients  or to keep them in hospital quarantine, will be decided after second test will come negative, he said.

Pertinently besides, a 65 year old lady was discharged from SKIMS on Wednesday after she completely recovered and her repeated tests were found negative at SKIMS, one patient at CD hospital has also recovered and will be discharged after her quarantine period will be over.—(KNO)
