COVID 19: 1,251 confirmed cases, 32 deaths, 101 cured across country

New Delhi, Mar 30: The number of COVID-19 positive cases in the country mounted to 1,251 on Tuesday, the government said.

The number is likely to change as some updates from district levels are awaited, the government said.

As the country entered day seven of the complete lockdown, the number of reported deaths from the deadly virus rose to 32, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said.

So far, a total of 101 cases have been cured and discharged while one person has migrated.

Currently, active COVID-19 positive cases amount to 1,117 across the country.

On Monday, more than 200 suspected cases were sent for testing at various hospitals in the National Capital after the information regarding more than 1,400 people staying at a Mosque in Nizamuddin area came to light. It was learnt that of the people who had left from the place, six tested positive for the virus, while one of them had succumbed.

The Government has now become stricter with borders of states being sealed with more rigidity to prevent the outbreak of the disease after migrant labourers from different states started heading back to their native areas in huge numbers not adhering social distancing measures.
