Army sets up helplines to create awareness

Srinagar: To spread awareness about novel Coronavirus among local residents in Kashmir, the Army has set up a number of telephone helplines using which it is providing essential information about the outbreak and precautions that must be taken by people.

Army officers said the helplines were set up as there is a sense of uncertainty among people because the Coronavirus outbreak is spreading in India.

“Many people are not sure what measures they should take to protect themselves and their family. The Army has been regularly updating the people with relevant information through various platforms,” they said.

The Army said these initiatives are being taken to ensure that people are well-informed and they unknowingly don’t become carriers of the viral infection.
