Dir School Education Kashmir reviews achievements under Capex

SRINAGAR: Director School Education, Kashmir Mohammad Younis Malik today chaired a meeting at Directorate of School Education Kashmir in which Chief Engineer R&B Department, Joint Director Central (DSEK), Deputy Director Planning (DSEK), Representative of PHE Department, Executive Engineer Const.-Div-I&II of School Education Department were present.

The meeting was informed that under Capex Budget 2019-20 50 Additional Class Rooms were taken up for execution out of which 10 have been completed, 04 are at finishing level while as 36 are under process at different stages at Rs. 707.55 lacs.

An amount of Rs. 509.71 lacs was released for this purpose out of which Rs. 303.34 lacs have been expended.

Under up gradation of schools, 42 works are under process for which an amount of  Rs. 762.46 lacs were allocated out of which Rs. 571.86 lac were released while as Rs. 351.17 lacs have been expended.

Similarly under Model Schools Construction head 9 Schools are under execution at Rs. 1765.67 lacs out of which Rs.285.00 lacs has been released with an expenditure of Rs. 187.65 lacs. The meeting was informed that construction of 55 Kindergarten’s was taken up at an estimated cost of Rs.250.80 lacs against which   an amount of Rs.210.40 lacs were released and  Rs. 186.92 lacs expended.

It was given out  that all ongoing works will be completed in the next fiscal.

Director School Education Kashmir said that infrastructure development is one the key elements to achieve goals in school education.
