Jammu Police cracks murder case in 8 hours, arrests two

Jammu: Jammu Police on Tuesday claimed of cracking a murder case by arresting two persons.

Police spokesman here said that on Monday, one person namely Bahar Din of Dewal Reasi, presently living in Chatta, Jammu reported at police post Bathindi that his nephew namely Bashir Ahmed, 35, has been murdered near Barmini Sunjwan by two persons following which a case was registered and investigation started.

Police team from Police Station Bahu Fort led by Inspector Bishnesh Kumar, swung into action and inspected the scene of crime and got important leads.

Acting swiftly and after hectic efforts Jammu Police team managed to arrest two accused persons from Bus stand Jammu and they were put to sustained questioning who admitted their involvement in the murder.

Arrested persons were identified as Abdul Majid of Reasi and Aijaz Ahmed of Reasi.

It is worthwhile to mention here that due to swift and prompt action of Jammu Police the murder accused were arrested within 8 hours of the incident.
