Hotels Shut In Patnitop Tourist Spot In Udhampur, Precaution Advised

JAMMU: District administration Udhampur on Monday imposed restriction on social gatherings, meetings and conferences in the district as a precaution against spread of COVID-19 while the Samba Administration has asked it’s officials to take all necessary precautions.
District Magistrate, Dr Piyush Singla issued directions/orders under 144 CrPc ‘to prevent danger to human life, health and safety’ and imposed restrictions on all social gatherings/meetings/conferences in the jurisdiction of district Udhampur with immediate effect till March 31.
“The General public shall follow these instructions and in case of emergent situation permission should be sought by the concerned stakeholders from the local administration i.e concerned Tehsildar. Any violations of this order shall invite action under Indian Penal code,” the order stated.
In another order, the DM Udhampur ordered closure of all hotels falling within the jurisdiction of Patnitop Development Authority with immediate effect till March 31, Hotel Management Authorities were directed to ensure immediate compliance of order in letter and spirit.
Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner, Samba Rohit Khujuria has also appealed to the officials of district offices housed in DC office complex to maintain hygiene at work place and take necessary steps to counter the spread of coronavirus at their workplace as a number of people visit the offices on daily basis.
Ensure proper sanitation of offices, workplaces, conduct regular inspection of store rooms, computer rooms and other facilities to keep surroundings free from infections, the Deputy Commissioner directed.
To aware general public, the DDC samba asked the officials to brief the people about the health advisories visiting their offices.
