Mumbai, Mar 12: Erasing yesterday’s gains, the Rupee on Thursday lost 59 paise to end at 74.22 on rising demand for US Dollars by bankers and importers, dealers at Forex Market said.
The local unit that tumbled down by 63 paise to 74.26 in opening trade, finished at 74.22, sliding by 59 paise as compared to its last close.
The local unit registered day’s high and low at 74.34 and 74.08 respectively.
The Rupee dropped on strong dollar against other world currencies, amid negative stock market, the dealer added.
