New COVID-19 case confirmed in Morocco

Rabat: Morocco’s Health Ministry confirmed on Wednesday evening the sixth COVID-19 case in the country.
A French woman of Senegalese origin, aged 64, was tested positive for the virus, a statement by the ministry said.
She arrived in the city of Fes in northeastern Morocco on a flight from France on March 5, it added.
Earlier on Wednesday, Morocco set up a ministerial committee to evaluate the impact of COVID-19 on the economy.
The ministry of Islamic Affairs announced in a separate statement the cancellation of all religious fairs regardless of the size of their gatherings.
Last Thursday, the Moroccan government suspended all cultural activities, sports events, seminars and similar meetings attended by foreign guests amid concerns over COVID-19.
