Delhi HC seeks reply from Tihar Jail on conducting interview of Nirbhaya convicts

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday, after hearing a plea of Media relating to the interview of convicts in the Nirbhaya case, issued a notice to the Tihar Jail authorities, for filing their reply.
Additional Sessions Judge Dharmendra Rana on March 5, had for the fourth time, issued fresh date for the execution of death warrants on March 20 at 0530 hrs, against Mukesh Kumar Singh (32), Pawan Kumar Gupta, Vinay Kumar Sharma (26) and Akshay Singh (31), for the brutal gangrape and murder of a 23-year-old physiotherapy student in a moving bus, on the night of December 16, 2012.
The girl, who later came to be known as Nirbhaya, had died after a fortnight, in a Singapore hospital.
Delhi High Court Justice Navin Chawla, after hearing the plea on behalf of Media, seeking permission to conducting the interview of all the convicted in Nirbhaya case passed an order to sent the plea to Tihar Jail Authorities and directed them to communicate their decision by tomorrow.
