Srinagar, Mar 05: Many feared dead after a vehicle skidded off and fell into river Chinab in Ramban district, officials said on Thursday.
According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic National Highway, Jatinder Singh Johar said that a vehicle on way to Jammu was intercepted, but it didn’t stop.
However, he said that the vehicle has skidded off near Ceftria Mohre and has fell into river Chinab, adding that it has not been ascertained yet that how many persons were in the vehicle.
He added that the rescue operation by the administration and police has been launched to evacuate the passengers.
“The condition of the people present in the vehicle is also not known yet,” he said, adding that the rescue operation is going on
