Srinagar: Combined forces including Army in a joint operation arrested three youth after a pistol and some rounds were recovered from them near a check point in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Official sources told Kashmir News Trust that after receiving inputs about the movement of some youth carrying arms and ammunition, soldiers from 34 Rashtriya Rifles, 178 Battalion of CRPF and SOG personnel from Zainpora stopped trio and during frisking a pistol, 2 AK 47 magazines and some pistol rounds were recovered from them at a checkpoint near Heff Shirmal area of Shopian district.
Official sources said that all the three youth were militant sympathizers and were working for them. They identified the trio as Shaid Ahmed Bhat, Zahoor Ahmed Padar and Bilal Ahmed Teli. (KNT)
