Srinagar : District administration Srinagar has failed to end illegal encrouchment in Malkhah graveyard.
As per the locals, graveyard has been encouraged over the years and admin is acting mute spectator over the issue.
Mohammad Yaqoob, a local told JKNS that both district administration and J&K waqf board is acting a mute spectator on the issue.
“Over the years the officials of waqf board has not carried a single encrouchment drive in the area, so that land could be retrieved,” he said.
Mohammad Aslam, a local said the officails of waqf board in hand in glue with encrouchers and admin had failed to retrieve the land over the years.
“The land in the graveyard has been reduced few dozen kanals ,which is the eyewash as it was spread over hundreds of Kanals,” he said.
People appealed Luitenent Governor Girish Chandra Murmuru led adminstration and Waqf board chairman to resolve the matter as soon possible.
